PUBLIC EVENTS

on May 2, 2009. I went to xingjiekou attended two public events with TIM. I saw some store is doing the Promotion activities. They hired dancer, magician and acrobat to prefermed some interested programs to attract people’s eyes. I choose this kind of public event is because I am interested in how they publicizen their merchandise. One is selling some electrical apparatus like refrigerator and air conditions.
I looked their performance for a while. I kind like their performance even it was a little absurd. They must very braved to do soming like to say “I love** refrigerator” . I know actually they not really like this refrigerator. Anyway this is a funny experience.

MY VOLUNTEER EXPERIENCE

I went to 1912 on May 3, 2009 to help a store to sell drinks and some snacks. It was a pretty hot day and these icy drinks become really popular. The small red cola store sold vast kind of snacks and drinks. I think this is a wonderful experience for my life. It can improve my communication ability and let me understand how hard to live in this cruel society.
So I just went to this store and tell the store owner the aim of my visit. He is willing to help. It made my work easier.
At the beginning, I feel really excited to sold drinks and snacks to customers. It’s a kind of interesting job. But, with the time passing, this job has become a torture to me. It not hardily to imagine standing under the hot sunshine, watching the passerby. That’s really challenged my patience.

The store owner found I was losing patience and started to comfort me. He said: “You are lucky enough to get such a hot day. Because it will have more people to buy drinks. So you should understand that the more awful hot we suffered, the more money we will made. To be a seller, the consumers are our god. You should try everything you can to satisfied the consumers. When you are a consumer, you may not understand how hard to work in this job. I hope when you finish this volunteer experience, it will give you more patience and backbone. This is a very important characteristic that you need if you want to be a successful businessman in the future.
His words gave me a lot of inspiration and experiences. It even gave some power to continue. I learnt every was not easy even a drink seller. Bet all the jobs share the same characteristics—patience.
This is a meaningful volunteer experience.

MY CLUB EXPERIENCE

During this idle weekend , I attended to Cindy’s swimming club to swim in the Olympic stadium swimming pool. We all had wonderful time there.

Swimming is always one of my favourite sports. When I was young. I often played with my farther in swimming pool. It gave me a good foundation of swimming. That’s also the reason why I decided to join the swimming club.

It was a sunny day when we went to Olympic stadium. Before we swim we first did some warm-up exercises. We stretched our body to avoid swimming cramps. Later on, we began to swim. In all of the stroke. I like breaststroke best. All of us enjoyed the cool water in such a hot day. I found that many of our club members can swim well too. But some of them can’t swim. So Cindy let me to teach some people who can’t swim. My tip is only one word “force”. If you force yourself to swim. You will swim well. You need to find the feeling in the water. It hard to let them understand. I think it will take time to understand.
At the end of this activity. We had a competition of swimming. I only got the second place. I did really fast at the beginning. But Cindy’s endurance is much batter than me. She finally got the winner.

Through this activity, I learnt a lot. I knew that the most important thing is to concentrate on what you want to do. When I start to learn swim. I just learn it. Like others, they always learn swim for a while then gave up and learn other sports. In the end, they won’t got only one skill.
I love this club. It at least gave me a lots of fun. Now I decide to join more clubs. Club can enriched my life. I am hoping the next activity…(because beside the swimming pool is not allowed to take photo. So I only got the picture of Olympic stadium and Cindy~)

A teaching experirnce in beijing dong lu primary school

During our wounderful planning class. My class—10 –D as the first class went to beijing dong lu primary school to teach some interesting english words to the grade 5 kids. This experience both benefit them and us. We learnt how to teach something in a funny and acceptable way. We also truly undersand how hard to be a teacher. We all tried our best to use all the skill we learnt in english,discussionand and planing class. Like the eye contect, humorous language,proper voice and so on. On the other hand, the primary studients also learnt some new english words. overall, this activity got a great succeed. Here ,I am going to tall you what excatly happened in this activity.
Our tesk is to teach them how to play a cards called “uno” and teach them some english words about playing cards. Before we went to the primary school we made our uno cards and colour it. That really a toture for me who doesn’t have enough patient. But I still made it. Because I don’t want to see the student I will teach doesn’t have a good card like others.
When we went to that school. Be honest to say ,I was scared by those pupils, they were very excitied when they saw us. They were jumping,laughing,shouting and doing some monkey stuff. We spent at least 2 minutes to let them calm down. I appointed to teach a boy. Their teacher said he is the top student in his class. That’s gave me some presures. I try to make me looks friedly and kindly. Luckily, this boy seems knew what we are going to do and didn’t trouble me a lot. After I introdused myself, we moved on the uno stuff. I start to teach as many as possible to let he know the what the uno is. Why people call this game as “uno”. What is the basic rule of playing it. To my surprised, this boy have a high conprehension ablity. We only spent 10 minutes and finished teaching. He got a good memory and pronunciation. We both enjoyed this teaching. Then we started to play with other groups. My students was go without saying to be the best player and gained a new uno cards as a prize. He was very excited for his prize. He said I was the best teacher he ever seen! That’s impressed me a lot. He even want me to stay longer when we decide to leave.
After this activity ,some of my classmates complains that how tough to teach kids. But I thought if we could be more friendly and more patient. It also can be a easy stuff.
I am happy to be a teacher. With this activity I learnt how to conmunicate with others. It is a nice tour.

A Religious Service

During International Labour Day, I went to jiming temple with my friends and did some service in it. Jiming temple is Buddhistical place where have lots of Buddhist in it. The male Buddhist is called monk. The female is called nun. Jiming temple is only allow the nun lives in it. We went there to visit the many Buddhist tradition of architecture which is very beautiful.
Then we went to this temple’s library read some books written by monks and nuns. They teach us why eat meat is not good for us. They think that meat have the toxins of the animals. I am pretty convinced of this ideal. The best example was just happened those days— swine flu.
I learnt a lot after this tour visit . I learnt that there is noting can annoy you. You feel distress is because yourself. This opinion really guide my life.
This is a meaningful tour.

A piano performance

yesterday I went to a wonderful piano performance with my friends. This master is only 26 years old. Lots of people called him Mozart in China. Some people even call him jenius.

I love classical music very much. He played Beethoven’s Fate Symphony No.1; Hungarian Rhapsody written by Franz Liszt, FANTAISIE—IMPROMRTU OP.66 created by Chopin and some extremely difficult music written by Rachmaninoff. These melodies were all so familiar for me.

My favourite one is a Chinese melody call “yellow river”. I learnt this song when I was a baby. But after I listened his performance. I really understand why he is called master. Because this is the first time that I can feel the image that he is trying to play.

once he finished a song ,people all get very excited and clapping all the time. So he have to come back and make a deep bow to us. All of us enjoyed at that moment.

Be honest to say, this is the best piano solo I have ever heard. He gives me such a wounder night! I am his fan now!

This is my class 10-D from GCA, next year I will change to a new class with some different classmates. They are all my good memories. I will treasure this memory~

A dinner with my parents in foreign restaurant

Today I had a really delicious dinner with my parents. This restaurant was called TACOS restaurant where have both Mexico and Italian style. We enjoyed ourself in this dinner .
This restaurant was designed in a very delicate and elegant which is I like. Not too many people in there. With the classical music, we ordered both both Mexico and Italian food .
The most delicious food I think is the spaghetti with a secret ingredient flavouring。 I can’t tell the feeling exactly. But all in all I love my mum’s wisely decision. I love this dinner.

An visit to Nanjing massacre museum

last summer holiday. My friends and I had a visit to Nanjing massacre museum. We went there about a period of history which is unbearable to recall. During the sino-japanese war. The Japanese occupied Nanjing and killed more than 30 million people who were the innocent civilians. This outrage shocked the hole world. In order to let Chinese next generation know this massacre. Chinese government built this museum.
As soon as I entered the front door, many statuses, each of which stood for a sad story, were appeared in front of my eyes. There one state which is really shocked me : a women hold her dead son with no emotion showed on her face. She must be numb and extreme sad. The truly shocked is from the sentence written under the state:“No return the son killed! No return the husband buried alive!” suddenly at that moment,the state is so vivid that scared me.
As the sad music broadcasting, I took my memory to the ancient times. For the Qing Dynasty’s corrupt and incompetent, the economic gap between China and many other foreign countries became more and more big, thus lowered our international competitive power. It was the fatal factor that led to the Japanese aggression. I was very indignant about the crime made by the invaders and showed great merry on the victims. Therefore, every one of us, as the new generation, must make contribution to the development of our country, set up a patriotic felling and participate in the patriotic education more.
The most horrible part I ever seen is many bone of victims died in a slaughter. Thousands of bones layer by another layer. The horror! Anyway, this tour gives me a deep reflection of the history. I love this tour.
